Personal Information
Hello, I guess a little introduction could help at this moment...
My full name is Dennis Lakbum Choi. I am 17 years old, and a senior at
Osan American High School in South
Korea. I live on a U.S. Air Force installation in the vicinity of Seoul (about 50 miles),
which is the capital of Korea. The base that I'm residing on, Osan Air Force Base, is a
medium sized base, if you wish to compare it with the military bases in the United States.
Despite the size of our base, my school is very minute. To help you picture the size of
our school, we have about 250 students from the 7th grade up to the 12th grade.
My goal for a higher education is to attend a university in the United
States and major in Computer Science. For fellow students, my college list is as follows:
California Institute of Technology, Duke University,
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of
Pennsylvania and University of Virginia.
My extracurricular activities at our school are quite numerous. I am a
member of the Ecology Club, an environmental awareness group whose mission is to preserve
the natural resources of our Earth. I am also a member of the Newspaper Club, with
their highly acclaimed newspaper, Paw Prints. I am also a member of the National Honor
Society. Oh yes, I almost forgot...I am a member of Air Force Junior ROTC. Our unit
is KO-951, and I am currently the Computer Systems Officer. I hold the rank of Cadet
Captain. For sports, I am running in Cross-Country, pinning my opponents in Wrestling and
scoring in Soccer. This leaves me a busy schedule for me during the school year.
My hobbies and interests range from computers, reading, and what ever
comes up. First of all, I have a profound and deep interest in computer programming. I
can code in several languages (Basic, Pascal, C, C++, HTML, Assembly, Java) and enjoy
programming simple applications and computer games. For reading, I enjoy authors such as
R.A. Salvatore, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman,
